Recently, a number of our Year 8 students completed their time in the Foreshore Program for 2022. During this Program they have been cleaning the surrounding foreshore and picking up rubbish with a sense of enthusiasm! They battled the elements whilst doing so, however always had a smile on their face. During their time in the program, which has been running since 2004, students learn valuable information from the City of Kingston in regard to cleaning and preserving the foreshore for the many people that utilise it and the wild and sea life who inhabit it. The sessions include removing rubbish and planting indigenous vegetation. We acknowledge our Sustainability Leader, Dr Sarah Avitabile, who prepared the students each week and made sure there was an appropriate combination of learning and enjoyment throughout the semester. Thank you to our wonderful students for the positive impact they have made during this program.
