Partnership with Parents

The energy and goodwill of our parent community is vital in building a school in which our girls can flourish.  We strive to develop effective partnerships with our parents, based on mutual trust and respect, and the shared responsibility for the education of our students.

We value the connectedness and warmth of our parent community and we welcome the dedicated support they provide.  We recognise that parents, as the primary educators of our students, are important partners of the College, and that their involvement and support enriches the learning and educational environment for our students. With this in mind, we are continually looking for ways to strengthen our partnerships with parents and journey with them as their daughter’s ‘Kilbreda story’ unfolds.

Parent Seminars are held each year to address issues relevant to raising and living with adolescents.  The Seminar series is underpinned by evidence-based practice and these workshops provide parents with a greater understanding of a teenager’s emotional experiences, whilst teaching skills that will assist them in supporting and connecting with their daughters. We also host a number of breakfasts that are designed to foster a sense of community, support the development of healthy family relationships and strengthen ties between parents and the College community.
