Last week, our Year 7 students attended what is undoubtedly, the biggest event of Term 1, the Year 7 Camp! The focus of this camp was to build new relationships with each other and the staff closest to them. The picturesque Lord Somers Camp and varied activities undertaken, certainly provided the chance for new friendships to blossom and existing friendships to flourish. The groups enjoyed Kayaking, Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, Pizza Making, Screen Printing, a Marine Discovery adventure and so much more! The physical and team challenges saw students working together, which they excelled in after two years of essentially ‘staying apart’. Strong and high quality relationships are a major determinant of wellbeing and we hope the camp experience has provided all students with many fond memories to reflect on.
