At the beginning of March, the Class of 2023 experienced their Year 12 Retreat. The Retreat was the perfect opportunity for the cohort to take a break before their SACs. On the Retreat, students participated in a series of insightful workshops based on the Kildare Ministries values. Principal, Nicole Mangelsdorf shared her personal experience around her involvement with the St Vincent de Paul Society and recounted her volunteer work. The group organised a Mass together, which was a moving experience for all. In preparation for the Mass, each student noted something ‘to let go of’, whether it be about themselves or the actions of another. During the Mass, the notes were placed in a campfire; symbolising letting go and moving forward. With clearer minds and a re-energised spirit, they now get ready for their final year at the College.
