What an incredible final assembly for our Class of 2022 today. Led by College Principal, Nicole Mangelsdorf, the occasion celebrated our Year 12 students and their commitment and contribution to our College community. Nicole wished them well as “their time at Kilbreda draws to a close and the exciting new chapter in their lives begin. Embrace your future with hearts full of love, hope and courage and always remember to act with both Strength and Kindliness.” Other moments to celebrate included the recognition of multiple award winners including our Academic Achievement and Endeavour award recipients and the College and Community award recipients. A particular highlight included the Catherine Arlove Sports Award, which was presented by past pupil Catherine herself, a three time Olympian in Judo. Keeping with tradition the morning ended by thanking current College Co-Captains, Alice Merchant and Francessca Malignaggi for their hard work and dedication as they commissioned the new Co-Captains for 2023 in a moving handover ritual. Frankie and Alice were credited for “always representing the College with pride and most importantly always treating others with kindness.” We look forward to celebrating with them and all members of the Class of 2022 at their Celebration Day tomorrow.
