World Environment Day

World Environment Day is a day to celebrate the amazing world we live in and take action on urgent issues from marine pollution and global warming to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. At the College, we know achieving lasting change takes more than a day! In our commitment to continually focus on our connection to the environment and our stewardship of God’s Earth, we continue to make significant changes and further educate our staff and students in becoming a more environmentally sustainable school. Through our Sustainability Leader, Dr Sarah Avitabile and her student-led team, we continue to build on the foundations we have laid. Recently, our students have enjoyed new recycled UV stablised plastic and timber composite picnic tables. Recycled plastic is an eco-friendly choice for outdoor furniture and prevents wasted plastic entering landfill, hence acting as a smart environmentally friendly solution to plastic wastage.
