Wild Action!

Today, our Year 7 students experienced an exciting encounter with ‘Wild Action.’ As they study their final Science topic of the year, Classification of Organisms, they recently learnt about the classification of vertebrates to prepare them for this incursion. From lizards, snakes, birds and bats to a baby wallaby, sea life and the endangered mountain pygmy possum, it provided a fantastic opportunity for students to step out of the Science Lab and engage in hands-on learning with the knowledgeable staff from ‘Wild Action.’ We applaud our students for venturing out of their comfort zones, gently interacting with the various creatures and applying their understanding of classification to these fascinating animals during this live encounter.
