Visual Arts, Design and Technologies Exhibition

Last week we held our highly-anticipated Visual Arts, Design and Technologies Exhibition and what an incredible two-day event it was! Opening on Wednesday night, crowds came along to the gallery in Mary Dalton Hall to celebrate our students. An impressive array of artwork was shown, highlighting Year 7 to 12 Textiles, Art, Media, Visual Communication Design, Product Design and Technology and Art Creative Practice. Also making a debut was student work from Food Technology in the form of decorated fruit cakes. The exhibited pieces ranged from sculpture, installations, photography, film, fashion, food and beyond! At 7.00pm, we were at capacity as our student models graced the catwalk, dressed to impress showcasing our student designers’ impeccable work. The collections featured upcycled pieces, to modern LBDs and highlighting past decades, the smiles on everyone’s faces said it all! The exhibition was a testament to the immense talent within Kilbreda. We congratulate not only our remarkable students but also Learning Leader, Christine Vaughan and the dedicated Visual Arts and Design and Technologies teams for curating this unforgettable exhibition.
