VET Hospitality
VET studies are incorporated into our VCE or VCAL (soon to be renamed VCE VM) program. These studies use the training sector qualifications, which were developed by industry. The qualifications are nationally recognised and focus on the development of work-related skills and knowledge.
One of the components in our Certificate II VET Hospitality program includes ‘Food Service’. The Hospitality students plan, prepare and serve their food to ‘customers’, in our case, students and staff, during recess or lunch. Recently our students prepared healthy sausage rolls, which used two types of mince and a variety of vegetables. They served the sausage rolls with a mini cheesecake, made from homemade lemon butter, which were beautifully presented . Our staff and students thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
