Last Tuesday, our Year 11 VCAL students commenced their community partnership with St Patrick’s Primary Mentone. Our two classes will be working weekly with their Foundation students. Each VCAL student will plan, resource and deliver a learning session that helps their Foundation student develop and consolidate social skills and fine motor skills. They are required to establish a portfolio which contains lesson plans comprising learning intentions and success criteria. Additionally, they must include examples of the activities they intend to include in their lesson, and once their lessons are finished, complete a self-reflection. This first session was amazing and both our VCAL students and the Foundation students cannot wait for their next catch up!
