Last Friday, our group of five budding chefs participated in the SEGAP Teen Chef competition hosted at Killester College. Team Kilbreda thoroughly enjoyed engaging in this culinary showdown alongside their talented peers. Distinguished members of the Australian Culinary Federation were the judges, which added to the excitement. The brief – to prepare a delicious two-course meal that would ‘wow’ the judges. Our dishes took us on an international journey with Indian delights including Butter Chicken, Garlic Rice, Raita and Naan. For dessert, they paid homage to Italian traditions with a twist and prepared Chilli Chocolate Cake, Cannoli and Orange Mascarpone Cream. Our talented team gave their all and earned a well-deserved Bronze medal. We congratulate Maddison T and Amelia P from Year 10 and Astrid H, Kiara M and Nyrie B from Year 11. Throughout the competition they supported one another, showcasing true teamwork.
