St Kilda Football Club Partnership
Recently, Unit 1 Physical Education students travelled to RSEA Park the home of the St Kilda Football Club as part of their upcoming SAC on Sports Injuries. It was an amazing opportunity to see the world-class training facilities and learn about professional athletes’ schedules, particularly members of the AFLW and their conflicting demands and recovery sessions. In the Danny Frawley Centre, Hannah Priest, St Kilda Captain, spoke about her life and journey as an athlete and becoming a Captain.
Year 11 student, Jemima H found the experience “inspiring and motivating and great to see the care and attention that each player receives both mentally and physically to be the best they can be”. The day ended with a mobility class that was challenging but rewarding, focusing on gaining easier movement and releasing stress.
