On Saturday 17 February there was plenty of excitement in the Mentone retail precinct as the spire at the top of our tower was carefully removed. After several years of assessment, it was determined that a significant amount of maintenance was required to ensure its continued structural integrity. The spire was relocated to our rear carpark, where all the remedial works can be conducted safely. Completion of the works is expected by the end of March, where the spire will be placed back on top of the tower where it will again be the heart of Mentone for the next century and beyond!
