Safer Internet Day (SID)
In line with Safer Internet Day (SID) this week, at the College we have been focusing on staying protected online. Technology has evolved dramatically in the past decades and whilst there are many benefits within this ever-evolving landscape, this has exposed us all to many risks with real-world impacts and online safety awareness is crucial! SID’s simplistic guidelines suggest to ‘Connect’ safely and with purpose, keep apps and devices secure and use social media in positive ways. ‘Reflect’ before you act and take a moment to consider how our online actions may affect others. Most importantly, ‘Protect’ yourself and others by taking action and educating those around you.
‘Protect’ inspired today’s lunchtime activity, where our senior students set about helping others with managing their phone settings and other devices. We all have a role to play in maintaining a safer online world. Visit https://www.esafety.gov.au/ for detailed information and resources to assist those around you.
