She did it! Congratulations to Erin Carroll, winner of the inaugural female edition of the ‘Melbourne Renegades Recruit’ program after a public vote that saw over 2,500 votes received. Erin, a left-arm fast bowler, now has the opportunity to train with the Renegades, be around the inner sanctum and attend a match-day with the WBBL team. Erin was thrilled. “Honestly, coming in I wasn’t too sure what to expect. But to have the opportunity to be in and amongst a professional environment and amongst some of the best players, I am so excited and so grateful. I have an incredible support system and I’m so privileged to have the amount of support I do.“ Thank you to members of the College community who supported Erin and the Carroll family with voting. In addition to this great news, Erin has also been selected as a member of the Female Emerging Performance Squad for the 2022-23 season by Cricket Victoria. The Emerging Performance Squad provides a pathway from Premier Cricket to the State squad through additional playing and training opportunities. We cannot wait to see Erin’s career progression in the future and her name in lights some day!
