Yesterday we welcomed the talented team from Poetry In Action , one of Australia’s premier touring theatre companies to the College. Jason, Ellen and Pallavi enthralled our Year 7 students with their highly engaging ‘Elements of Poetry’ workshop. Our students are currently studying poetry as part of their English curriculum and it was such a treat to see the power and inventiveness of language brought to life through performance, rap battles and rhyming ping-pong! We look forward to seeing the creative output that yesterday’s experience will no doubt inspire. Thanks Team Raven for ‘igniting a new love for poetry in the classroom’.
