Performing Arts Week
During Performing Arts week last week we were delighted that so many students (a selection shown in the images) auditioned for the ‘Kilbreda Festival’. This historical festival, a celebration of Performing Arts that began (many!) years ago at the College, was always a highlight for students to showcase their talents in dance, instrumental, drama or vocal. After a break, the festival has been reimagined by our Learning Leaders: Performing Arts – Drama and Dance, Nicole Everett and Cara Mitchell and it has been a hit with our current students! The talent shown during the series of lunchtime auditions was outstanding and it was wonderful to see full houses each day in the Auditorium of students supporting their peers. We congratulate each performer who showed the courage to audition, not an easy feat. The finalists will perform tomorrow evening in front of special guest judges and industry professionals for the chance to win a series of awards. It is sure to be a spectacular night!
If you would like to share in the celebration of Performing Arts at the College and support the Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project whilst doing so, $5 tickets can be purchased at https://events.humanitix.com/kilbreda-festival
