Yesterday, a group of students and staff joined numerous others in a march through Melbourne streets, standing in solidarity with refugees. The ‘Palm Sunday Walk for Justice and Peace’ marked a collective effort to advocate for refugee rights including equitable processes, enhanced work opportunities, income support, granting access to permanent visas for all refugees and a safety net for asylum seekers. We extend our gratitude to the members of our College community who participated, generously dedicating their time to raise awareness about the challenges confronting many refugees. Let us continue to urge for change and amplify the voices of those in need.
