Year 11

The end of Semester 1 is fast approaching and it has been positive to see the number of students utilising the Library to work in groups and individually during their study periods and after school. With exams less than two weeks away – commencing on 10 June – now is the time to focus on actively revising by completing practice questions, past exam papers and going over feedback already provided.

It is also time for the VCE VM students to ensure that they have all requirements for their Unit 1 subjects completed ready for the change to Unit 2 on 18 June. They have been busily preparing and recording podcasts. They have produced professional recordings due to the time they have spent researching and scripting their views on a range of topics. I am sure they will be both entertaining and informative and I look forward to hearing them. Perhaps this is the start of a career in radio for some of them!

Each day there is something to celebrate in our year level: the involvement in performances of the talented musicians, those participating in the musical both on stage and back of house, our wonderful athletes competing in a variety of sports, the sharing of resources and ideas to support each other’s learning in the classroom and the ‘hello’s’ I receive in the mornings as they walk past my office to their lockers. I am blessed to be working with this group as they continue their senior school journey.
