Year 11

Student Leadership

This term, the process for Student Leadership for 2024 began. It has been pleasing to see the number of students who have put themselves forward for positions. Each of them expressed their love of learning and how being engaged in the Kilbreda community brought them a sense of accomplishment and belonging. I am sure that next year will be one of new initiatives with a strong cohesive team.

Volunteer Opportunities

This week, we heard from Jane Yang, the Volunteer Development Officer from Kingston Council, about opportunities for volunteering in the community.  Jane spoke of the fall in numbers of active volunteers and the impact this is having. There are many ways to volunteer and just a few hours every fortnight can make difference. I encourage all students to think about these opportunities which enables them to engage with different people from all walks of life or even may lead to future careers.

Volunteer opportunities can be viewed through the link below.

Brigidine Day

The enthusiasm with which the year level has approached Brigidine Day has been wonderful. It certainly has been a team effort with each member either supporting the fundraising, bringing in chocolate or fine-tuning our year level act. I do hope that the term break enables us all to return with renewed energy for Term 4.

Good luck to those completing their practice exams during the break.
