Looking Ahead: Term 2

We want to take a moment to congratulate our Year 10 students on an outstanding start to their Senior School journey. From their commitment in the classroom to their involvement in school life, the energy and enthusiasm shown have been remarkable. It has been inspiring to see students embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with this new chapter, setting a strong foundation for the rest of the year.

Looking ahead to the remainder of Term 2, we remind students of the importance of maintaining the high standards they have set. We expect all students to wear their full school uniform with pride, ensuring that jewellery is kept to a minimum and in line with College policy. Mobile phones and AirPods must be away during all class times unless explicitly directed by a teacher for learning purposes. Remaining fully engaged in class will be crucial as we move into the middle of the academic year. Students are encouraged to continue demonstrating respect, responsibility, and a positive attitude to learning that demonstrates Hospitality, our College theme of the year.

Term 2 also brings the important milestone of Semester 1 Examinations, which will begin in Week 8. Students should start preparing early by revising content regularly, seeking feedback from their teachers and developing effective study habits. Establishing a consistent revision routine now will help ensure they are confident and well-prepared when exams arrive.

Finally, we are pleased to invite parents and guardians to a special information session on Conflict Management, which will be held on 22 May. This session, facilitated by ToolBox Education, builds on the work we have been doing with students this year in promoting positive communication and effective problem-solving strategies. We encourage all families to attend and continue supporting our collective efforts in helping students develop these vital life skills. Information and booking details to be published in the next newsletter.

Congratulations again to all our Year 10 students on a successful Term 1 – we are excited to see what Term 2 brings!
