Welcome Back to a New Term Full of Learning, Celebration and Warmth

As we welcome students back from the term break, we hope your time together was restful and restorative. With the chill of winter now firmly settled in, the start of this new term brings not only a change in temperature but also a renewed focus on learning, growth and connection within our College community.

This term promises to be rich with academic focus. Our students are diving into their studies with fresh energy, and we are already seeing wonderful engagement in classrooms. Teachers are working closely with students to support their learning goals, ensuring they feel challenged, supported, and motivated as the year progresses.

Beyond the classroom, the term is brimming with events and celebrations that reflect the vibrant life of our school. We are particularly excited about our upcoming College assembly that will spotlight student achievements and school spirit. The College musical is always a highlight, and a chance for our talented performers, musicians and crew to shine on stage. We can’t wait to see the results of their hard work and creativity in 42nd Street.

Father’s Day is also around the corner – a special opportunity to honour the fathers, grandfathers and father-figures in our students’ lives. We look forward to welcoming many of you to celebrate this occasion together as a community.

The term will culminate with Brigidine Day, a much-loved and long-anticipated event that brings the whole school together in celebration of our shared identity and values. This year, our focus is on Hospitality – the Brigidine value of Welcoming All – which is at the heart of all we do. Whether through a warm smile on a cold morning, an inclusive classroom culture, or the way we gather for community events, we are committed to ensuring that every student and family feels known, valued and included.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to sharing this term’s journey with you and celebrating all that our students will achieve and contribute.

International Friendship Day

In 2011, the United Nations officially designated 30 July as International Friendship Day. The day celebrates the power of friendship in fostering understanding, solidarity, and harmony among individuals and cultures worldwide. It encourages people to build bridges between communities, emphasising the importance of compassion and mutual respect in creating a more peaceful world. We celebrated this day by encouraging friendship with welcome messages, ribbons and the opportunity to make friendship bracelets.
