Visual Arts Week

From Monday 17 July to Friday 21 July, a range of Art activities were run over the course of the week to celebrate Visual Arts Week. Each activity offered an opportunity for students to engage in a range of tasks exploring various mediums. On Monday, the students were given the opportunity to express their creativity with a range of mediums including painting, drawing and sculpting with magic clay. Overall, it was a fun lunchtime activity with lots of smiles and laughs.

On Tuesday, a Visual Communication Design activity was offered, where students were given the opportunity to create their own money box design. Each of the students expressed alot of talent with many beautiful and unique designs created.

On Wednesday, students had the opportunity to experience the Virtual Reality (VR) Headsets to explore 360-degree films. Some students created a short stop motion animation, making a wooden figure dance to the song ‘Everybody Dance Now’.

On Thursday, students and staff participate in an Art Competition to create an artwork in 30 minutes. Congratulations to all of the participants who created some wonderful work!

On Friday, we concluded the week with a Friendship Bracelet making activity. Students created a colorful array of beaded and threaded bracelets during this activity.
