Picasso Century Excursion

The Picasso Century‘ is an amazing exhibition. Normally, we would have to travel overseas to see the extraordinary range of works that reflect Picasso’s life. Recently, the VCE Art students and the Year 8 students spent the day in Melbourne’s CBD visiting the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV).

In addition to visiting “The Picasso Century” at NGV International, they also visited NGV Australia (Federation Square) where they saw ‘Top Arts’, an annual exhibition showcasing the work of exceptional Art and Visual Arts students from across Victoria. For 2021, past pupil Kellie Palatino had her work on display.

The VCE students also experienced some of the vibrant street art in Melbourne’s CBD. Back at the College, in the Art Rooms, Art students across all year levels are producing wonderful individual and group works. It is wonderful to see them use original thoughts and express their unique ideas in a visual format.
