Visual and Creative Arts

The 2022 Art and Design Exhibition was a wonderful success! After two years of virtual exhibitions, it was great to see the Mary Dalton Hall transformed with amazing artworks from all Visual and Creative Arts subjects at the College. With students, teachers, friends and families, the atmosphere on opening night was alive and buzzing!

The night kicked off with an exhilarating Unit 1 & 2 Dance performance, followed by the Fashion Show, where students from Years 10 to 12 were able to model their creative designs and garments on the catwalk – one of the star attractions of the evening.

Embellishing the Hall were works from all different year levels in Art, Visual Communication and Design, Media and Textiles. The conceptual and innovative artworks were broad and creative, and such varied stories, techniques and intentions acted to showcase students’ individuality and artistic talents. Ranging from paintings, sculptures, and installations, there was something for everyone to enjoy, and it was incredibly rewarding to see the positive reactions of the audience as they wandered throughout the space.

For us, it was great to finally have the opportunity to display our efforts and dedication, as well as enjoy the many talents of our peers. We are so appreciative to have been a part of this event, and all students should be proud of the hard work they have put in this year and be excited for their future artistic endeavours!

As Creative Arts Leaders, we want to acknowledge the hard work and passion that both our teachers and the art faculty have put into creating such a fantastic Exhibition, but also the whole year’s work. It is their dedication that made the Art and Design Exhibition the wonderful success that it was.
