Yarrabah Community Partnership

On 15 February, the 2024 Kilbreda College and Yarrabah School Community Partnership commenced. In 2023, we were fortunate to secure a Kingston Council community grant. Every Thursday afternoon the students will work together to create six mosaic artworks. These pieces will reflect the array of animal and plant life in Port Phillip Bay. Later in the year, when the mosaics are completed, they will be installed at one of the council’s recreation reserves.

It was extremely rewarding to see the students collaborating positively and beginning the mammoth task of bringing each mosaic piece to life. Our partnership with Yarrabah is in its fourth year; it is a highly valued part of the VCE VM program.

We look forward to many exciting and productive sessions throughout the year.

Enrichment Day

Our Enrichment Day program nurtures essential qualities in students. With a focus on ORGANISATION, COMMUNICATION SKILLS, COMPASSION, SENSE OF ADVENTURE and IMAGINATION, students embark on a diverse set of experiences every fortnight.

It was with great excitement we commenced the 2024 Enrichment Day Program with a huge splash! A visit to the Melbourne Cable Park was much anticipated and enjoyed by both the Year 11 and Year 12 students.

The day is designed to challenge their sense of adventure and their problem-solving skills. They are challenged to work as a team and to develop the cohesiveness within small groups. Climbing, sliding, running and jumping over the 200-metre-long aqua inflatables certainly provided this.
