SCSA Sport

SCSA Aerobics

After two years competing in an online format  it was been wonderful to have the opportunity to compete in the SCSA competition a few weeks ago. Following on from this we would like to continue with our Aerobics Program.

Next term, Shannon will come into the College every Wednesday until the end of the year. We would like to openly invite any student to come along to these sessions. Shannon would like to teach a variety of skills, improve muscular strength and teach basic and more advanced choreography. Our first session back will be Wednesday 5 October.

We are looking forward to our 2023 Aerobics program.

SCSA Softball

SCSA Softball will be the last SCSA event for 2022 on Monday 10 October at Jells Park.

Trials have already started for all levels.

In conjunction with this sport we have SEGAP Softball and Tennis in Term 4 for the Junior and Intermediate levels. The competition will take place at Kilbreda with our other SEGAP schools: OLSH, Killester and SHGC.

More information about these events will be posted in the next newsletter.

The team played some extremely close games. The first school was Trinity College, Colac and they were extremely competitive. They scored 10 very quick goals which took our team by surprise. In the second half they settled down to their normal game and closed the gap, losing by only three goals. They then went on to play OLMC, Luther, Aquinas College and Loretto College. It was in this last game that they defeated Loretto by one goal. A very exciting last few minutes of the game.

Next week the Junior team will play. We wish them the best of luck and we will update you with results in our next newsletter.

Olivia competed for the first time in Division 3 in the Challenger Alpine Giant Slalom and came 12th which was an awesome effort.

Charli competed in Division 1 for the Snowboard Giant Slalom, coming in 12th and 11th in the Snowboard Cross. She has now qualified to compete at the National Interschool Championshipsat Perisher NSW in early September.  Good luck, Charli.
