CGSAV Basketball 

Congratulations to all students who competed in the Division 1 Basketball comp at MSAC on Tuesday. It was a tough day of competition with all players making great contributions.  

Juniors
The Junior A team had a tough day with some late withdrawals due to injury and illness. They played really well as a team to finish in fifth position. The Junior B team won through to the semi-finals, where they played first placed Sacred Heart Geelong. In a very tight contest, the team were just pipped at the end with Sacred Heart scoring the winning points in the dying seconds.

Intermediates 
The Intermediates jumped out of the blocks to win their first three games with all players combining to produce some fantastic team basketball. The next two games proved very tough with the team then going down in the semi-finals and finishing in third place.

Seniors
The Senior team dominated their competition, winning every game comfortably to secure top spot. Their domination continued in the finals with them running away with a 40 point grand final win.

Congratulations to the whole team on a fantastic effort and to Jas Perry who was awarded the Best Player in the Grandfinal award.

House Javelin  

Students participated in the House Javelin at the College in the lead up to the House Athletics event on Monday 29 April.

Other Sport

Sports Trials – Term 2 

There are numerous trials on at the moment for the following sports teams: Futsal, Badminton, Aerobics, Football and Cross Country. 

All information about these trials is recorded on the Sports Google Classrooms page. We encourage all students to come along to these trials and try something new! 

Aerobics Training 

All of these sessions are going very well. The attendance has been fantastic. 

Day 3: 7.30am to 8.30am (Hall) 
Day 8: Long recess break (11.25am to 12.05pm) 

First competition for some groups will be on Sunday 23 June.  More details about this competition will be sent out separately. 

Our CGSAV competition at OLMC (Our Lady of Mercy College) will not be until Term 3.  Thank you to 2023 past pupil Alicia Henry who is assisting with this program for 2024.
