Empowering Growth
The Launch of Kilbreda College’s Professional Learning Committee
This year, the College has established a Professional Learning Committee. This committee will strategically plan, implement, monitor and review professional learning activities for the staff at Kilbreda College.
The primary objective of the Professional Learning Committee is to continue to align professional learning initiatives with the school’s improvement priorities. The committee aims to continue to enhance the positive climate for growth and foster a professional learning community dedicated to continual improvement. The Committee will focus on enabling professional growth and building individual and collective efficacy.
Key Responsibilities of the Professional Learning Committee
Fostering Positive Collaboration: The Professional Learning Committee will encourage the positive and collaborative dialogue among our staff. By encouraging professional dialogue, the committee’s intent is to create an environment where ideas can flourish, and knowledge can be shared.
Building Shared Language and Expectations: Establishing a shared language, knowledge and expectations among our staff members is crucial. The Professional Learning Committee will explore different models of professional development that will align with the needs of staff and the College.
Seeking Continuous Feedback: The College values the input from the school community. The Professional Learning Committee will seek feedback to continually improve the professional learning process. By incorporating diverse perspectives, the committee’s purpose is to refine strategies and ensure they align with the evolving needs of our school community.
We are excited about the positive changes the Professional Learning Committee will bring to the College, as we continue to foster an environment of lifelong learning and continuous school improvement.
