New Staff

This year we have had a number of new staff join our College. I look forward to introducing you to these staff and sharing their biographies with you over these next few issues.

Rhiannon Fox

English Teacher
Rhiannon brings with her a wealth of teaching experience spanning 16 years, both in Melbourne and interstate. Most recently she joins us from John Paul College and here at our College, where she has worked as a Casual Relief Teacher. Rhiannon has experience with teaching Years 7 to 12 within the subject areas of English, Humanities and Psychology. Throughout her time she has also held leadership roles and undertaken work for VCAA as a NAPLAN marker. Rhiannon has a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education (Secondary), Master of Education (Leadership and Management) and Graduate Certificate in Adolescent Health and Wellbeing.

Angela Liyanage

Mathematics Teacher
Angela brings with her five years of teaching experience. She joins us from her most recent position, since early 2023, as the Head of Mathematics, along with Years 7 to 12 Mathematics and Business Management Teacher at Salesian College. She has been at that College since 2018, where she commenced her teaching career. Angela has also undertaken the role as Social Justice Coordinator prior to her current role. She has a Master of Teaching in Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics and is currently undertaking a Master of Educational Leadership at ACU.

Campbell Bedford

AFL Trainee: PE and Sport
Campbell joins the College Community having completed Year 12 in 2022 at Bentleigh Secondary College. Since completing his secondary studies, he has undertaken work in both retail and customer service positions. He currently works as an Athletics Coach at Caulfield Little Athletics, where he has coached children from 6 to 15 years for the past three years. He has played a variety of sports throughout the years including soccer, cricket and basketball and continues to play AFL. He has a strong passion for sport and is excited to be undertaking this traineeship with the College, as he continues to explore his interests in this area and potentially further studies within teaching in the future.

Nicola Ranking

Learning Diversity Assistant
Nicola brings with her experiences from a variety of settings, some of which have included retail and customer service. More notably she has undertaken volunteer work as part of the Edmund Rice Tutoring Program, where she has assisted students with homework in a variety of subjects. She has also been a Youth Ambassador with YAAP- White Lion. Nicola is currently in her second year of studying a Bachelor of Primary and Secondary Education., while also undertaking a Bachelor of Visual Arts. Nicola has already completed some teaching placements within St Therese’s Primary School (Essendon) and St Peter’s College (Clyde North) and is excited to put into practice some of the skills acquired so far.

Jane Watkins

Learning Leader – Religious Education
Jane brings with her a wealth of teaching experience spanning the last 26 years. She joins us from her most recent postion since 2018, at Star of the Sea College, where she is currently the Head of School Operations, along with English and RE Teacher. Prior to this she has worked as a Teacher and in other various areas of leadership within Mazenod College and St Francis Xavier College. Jane has a Master of Education (ACU), Post Graduate Diploma of Education (Career Development), Graduate Diploma of Education/Graduate Certificate of Religious Education and a Bachelor of Arts. She is currently undertaking her Master of Education Leadership (Catholic Educational Leadership) at ACU.

Brett Reidy

Mathematics Teacher
Brett brings with him 25 years of teaching experience, working at the one school since he graduated. He joins us from his most recent position, as House Coordinator at St Bede’s College, where he also teaches Mathematics and Science. Previously he has undertaken the roles of Professional Learning Leader and Tutor Group Teacher. Brett has a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering, completed with first honours and awarded Thiess prize for Civil Engineering Design and Yarra Valley Water prize for Sustainable Project Design, he also has a Graduate Diploma of Education, Graduate Certificate in Religious Education and Masters of Education (Student Wellbeing).
