Embracing the Season of Creation: Fast Fashion Focus and Exciting Clothes Swap Event!

As we welcome this year’s ‘Season of Creation,’ our school is excited to spotlight a crucial environmental issue: fast fashion. This term, we’re diving into the impact of the clothing industry on our planet and exploring sustainable alternatives. To kick off our focus on this important topic, this Brigidine Day, we are hosting a Clothes Swap that encourages students to rethink their relationship with fashion. Here’s how it works:
- Bring in Pre-Loved Items: Gather gently used clothing from your wardrobe that you no longer need or wear. It’s a great way to declutter and give these items a second life!
- Earn Tokens: For each item you donate, you’ll receive a token that can be exchanged for a new-to-you item at the swap event. It’s a fun, eco-friendly way to refresh your wardrobe without contributing to the cycle of fast fashion.
- Swap Details: The Clothes Swap will take place in the hall on Brigidine Day. If you do not have a token on the day, you can simply pick up an item with a gold coin donation. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to participate in a meaningful event and make a positive impact!
Clothes Drop-Off: You can drop off your pre-loved clothing every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8.00am to 8.45am in Ms Cristiano’s office. This gives you ample time to contribute to the swap and prepare for the exciting event ahead.
By participating, you’re not only contributing to a more sustainable fashion culture but also supporting our community in a creative and impactful way. Let’s embrace the Season of Creation with enthusiasm and make a difference together!
We look forward to seeing you all at the Clothes Swap and celebrating our commitment to a greener future. Thank you for your support and participation!
