New Staff

The Library at Kilbreda has two new staff members who have joined the team for 2024. Katie Albrecht is our new Library Technician, joining me, Joyce Sendeckyj as Head of Library and Information Services. Both Katie and I have been warmly welcomed by our Librarian, Angus Pearson, who has been the backbone of our induction period in the Library, giving us the wealth of his knowledge and experience.

Community

In the Kilbreda Library we have found a true vibrancy and community spirit that underpins the resources, services and spaces that the Library provides each and every day to the Kilbreda College community.

The School Library of Victoria (SLAV) 2018, advocates “There is a body of evidence-based research that shows effective school libraries have a positive impact upon learning and enrich the lives of their school community”.  Linked below is the infographic ‘What a School Library can do for you’ (SLAV, 2018), that acknowledges all that the Library provides for us each day. The Kilbreda Library is certainly testament to providing a positive impact on both the Kilbreda students and staff.
