This week the Visual Arts, Product Design and Technology (Textiles) and Visual Communication and Design students shared their design processes and folio work with their VCE peers at Kilbreda’s annual Art Soirée.

The afternoon began with guest speakers Ruby Paterno (Class of 2018) and Eryn Sinclair and Kellie Palatino (Class of 2021), who generously shared their experiences and tips to help the current students finish their Unit 4 projects and gain a better understanding of options beyond secondary school.

Ruby, Eryn and Kellie are currently at University and their first hand knowledge and stories were invaluable. Kellie also shared her experience of being accepted into this year’s ‘Top Arts’ at the NGV, which was an extraordinary achievement.

The Visual Art students have already begun work on their Unit 4 folios and the Textiles students are close to begining to make their final garments. The Art Soirée gave former and current students the opportunity to share their innovative ideas with fellow creative students and hopefully inspire them to do great work!
