Celebrating all that is Good with Joy and Gratitude

For many members of our community this is the first full semester that we have experienced as a Kilbreda student or as a Kilbreda staff member. Whilst not without its challenges, these first six months have given us much to celebrate:

  • Opportunities for students to participate in a wide variety of co-curricular programs and activities
  • Camps, excursions and incursions that have provided enriching learning experiences
  • Success in competitions, both sporting and in academic fields
  • Community events to celebrate and share together.

As we look forward to a second semester filled with more opportunities, we pray that these holidays will provide a time of refreshment for students, families and staff alike.

Pathways Expo – Save the Date

The Pathways Expo is scheduled for Thursday 21 July from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. This event is a wonderful night for students and families to explore the many opportunities available to students in the senior years at Kilbreda. Students in Years 9 to 12 are encouraged to attend to gather information about VCE, VCE VM and post-secondary options. The evening will include tailored information sessions for each year level and an array of subject booths and tertiary information stalls.

More information regarding the Pathways Expo will be emailed to families at the beginning of Term 3.

Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews

Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews are scheduled for Term 3. Interviews will once again be conducted online in order to provide as much opportunity as possible for parents to partner with the College. These will be conducted on the dates and times indicated below:

  • Monday 1 August – 2.30pm to 8:00pm
  • Wednesday 10 August – 10.00am to 8.00pm

Further details regarding specific details of the events and booking instructions will be provided in a letter to all families early in Term 3.

Year 12 INSPIRE Day

On Monday 11 July, all Year 12 students will participate in the Year 12 INSPIRE Day. The day will consist of presentations and workshops designed to inspire and provide students with an opportunity to continue to develop the skills and habits in the lead up to the end of their secondary schooling. All Year 12 students have been requested to provide their input via a Google survey to ensure that their voice contributes to the planning of the day.
