National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week is a time for us to explore how we can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia and ways to strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.

This week, we hosted several activities to create awareness about Indigenous culture, an important step in the process of reconciling our past. We created banners, learnt traditional weaving and string making with Juanita from Baluk Arts and our staff enjoyed a morning tea by Cooee Cafe , an Indigenous run catering service. Today, we held a liturgy to recognise 30 years to the day that the historic Mabo decision was delivered.
