Last week, as part of Catholic Education week, the Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools held their annual Creative Arts Exhibition, which showcases wonderful artwork of both primary and secondary students in Melbourne. The exhibition reflects students’ creativity in a broad range of impressive and inspiring works across various disciplines, including painting, photography, sculpture, fashion and film. This year, we were thrilled to have five students accepted to exhibit their work from 2022. Our featured students were Grace Hattam (Year 12 in 2022) with her photography series, ‘Juxtapose’; Isobel D (Year 10 in 2022) with her Self Portrait; Elizabeth P (Year 10 in 2022) with her piece, ‘Where I’ve Been and Where I’m Going’; Daniela C (Year 11 in 2022) with her piece, ‘La Cholita’ and 2022 College Dux, Siorcha Creaton with her music video, ‘Snap Out Of It’. We were elated that for this music video, Siorcha took home the first prize for the award, ‘Live Action Film Secondary’. You can see a sample of the music video at https://vimeo.com/806159233.
