Today we celebrate International Youth Day, a day endorsed by the General Assembly of the United Nations that acknowledges and amplifies the importance of youth participation in current affairs. It is a day that celebrates young people’s efforts and contributions big and small toward righting the world’s wrongs and pulling others along with them. Our students are tomorrow’s leaders who know that nothing will change if they stand by and change will only happen if they stand up! As part of our Community Action Team’s goal to promote solidarity amongst the students and to promote the importance of student voice, today the group organised a number of events. Activities included a Community Action Breakfast, Matball Challenges and Board games, opportunities for interaction and discussions to celebrate such a significant day.
