Father’s Day Breakfast

Today we celebrated our annual Father’s Day Breakfast. It was wonderful to finally be able to do this as we have been unable to run this event for a number of years. The vibe in the room was one of contentment and the joy on our fathers’ faces was infectious. Year 12 Student Leader, Sarah, proudly introduced her father, Chris Donlon as the keynote speaker. Chris’ address focused on the concept of ‘Drama’ in one’s life and managing this the best way possible. He gave everyone an insight into his life as an AFL Umpire and the strategies he has used to overcome challenges he has faced, leaving our guests with some important questions to ponder. After a delicious breakfast (accompanied by Year 8, Daria S on the piano) and student reflections, the morning ended with a musical tribute from our father-daughter duo, Evie and Matthew Hannan and their rendition of U2’s ballad, ‘Where the streets have no name’. What a way to start the day!
