Last night was our first round of Debaters Association of Victoria Debating at Brighton Grammar. Our B Grade Team, consisting of Year 11 students: Hayley M, Angelique V and Daniela C were narrowly defeated by a small margin of two points. Congratulations to the team, particularly Angelique and Daniela as it was their first ever debate! Our D Grade Team, consisting of Year 9 students: Charlotte M, Elysia G and Annabelle M came out with a win in their debate against the home school Brighton Grammar! Thank you also to Taylah B for supporting her D grade teammates with their presentations. We look forward to following the students and watching their progress throughout the year.
