The City of Kingston Youth Awards provides a great opportunity for young people 12 to 25 years with a connection to the City of Kingston to be recognised, acknowledged and celebrated for their contributions to their local community. Year 11 student, Sam Hubeek, was one of five nominees for the ‘2022 Young Citizen of the Year Award.’ Sam has been advocating for and implementing strategies to create safer and more inclusive school environments for LGBTIQA+ and gender diverse students.
