Building Bridges Program

Recently a number of our students began the ‘Building Bridges’ Program, an experiential interfaith group with members from various colleges with varying religions. The purpose of this group is to promote mutual understanding, respect and ethical behaviour across cultural and religious diversities and to develop competent global leaders for the 21st century. For the first session, students went to The King David School to learn and understand how Judaism is implemented into school life. After a presentation on Jewish history, students toured the school, learning about the school history, significance of the Torah and were taught how to write their names in Hebrew. The evening concluded with sharing a meal. It is always a privilege to learn about another school community and how it differs from our own.
