Mass with Most Rev. Anthony J. Ireland DD STD

On the final day of Term 3, we celebrated Brigidine Day, a day dedicated to honoring our identity as a Catholic school in the Brigidine Tradition. Every year on this day, both staff and students come together to partake in a Eucharist to start the day. This moment allows us to contemplate the brave Brigidine Sisters and their stories, which continue to inspire us daily. This year held particular significance as the Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne, Most Rev. Anthony J. Ireland DD STD was the Principal Celebrant of our Mass alongside Concelebrant, Fr Peter Matheson, a much-loved member of our College community. Centred around our 2023 value, ‘Courage: Speaking and Acting with Integrity’, our readings and songs focused on women of peace, those like St Brigid who have devoted their lives to supporting the most vulnerable. These reflections encourage us to continually embrace their vision and apply it in our own lives. We thank Ms Carole Downie and all involved in the organisation of this beautiful morning.
