Book Week

Last week we celebrated Book Week. With the theme, ‘Read, Grow, Inspire’, it is always a highly anticipated week at the College and our Library Team guarantee lots of fun along the way. Highlights of the week included the much-loved ‘Book Week Quiz’, which always draws a large crowd. Run by Student Leaders, the quiz did not disappoint and the students enjoyed the chance to verse the staff in a literary showdown. On hiatus during COVID, it was wonderful to see the awaited return of the ‘Edible Book’ competition. The brief was to create something edible that was based on a book, character, theme, resembled a book and….so on. It was evident that the students who entered the competition had spent hours planning, baking, constructing and decorating their masterpieces. They were all INCREDIBLE! We congratulate the following students who received awards. Third Place was awarded to Amelia P (Year 10) for “Alice In Wonderland”. Second Place went to Alyssa V (Year 8 ) for “Ratburger”. Drumroll…First Place was Kiara M and Jasmine G (Year 11) for their magnificent creation, “Jack and the Beanstalk” complete with Persian fairy floss! Look at the detail on the pages. Thank you to our Library team for creating these magical moments.
