Aspire Day
Yesterday on the first day of Term 2, all Year 11 students participated in the ASPIRE program. Students engaged in a variety of activities including problem solving tasks, careers sessions, ‘Elevate’ Seminars and a range of study skills workshops. Whilst the day had something for everyone, the highlight was the keynote presentation from past pupil, Ashleigh Gardner (Class of 2005). Ash shared her journey from VCE, University and regional work, and the steps she took to become a newsreader for Nova FM. You can currently hear her on the successful breakfast show, ‘Chrissie Sam and Browny’ and she co-hosts another early morning show. Her inspirational story encouraged students to follow their passion, set goals and map out the journey that it will take to reach your dreams, ensuring that you allow for redirection and balance along the way.
