BRIDGES Camp

Students had the opportunity to step outside the classroom and take part in experiences that built resilience, teamwork and independence. The camp was not only about adventure but also about developing real-life skills such as problem-solving, communication and collaboration. Many wonderful memories were made, and students returned with stronger friendships and greater confidence.

AI in the Classroom – Professional Learning

Our teaching staff are engaging in ongoing professional learning about the use of artificial intelligence in education. This is an evolving conversation across the school, focused on how AI can support student learning, encourage creativity and be used responsibly. Staff are exploring both the opportunities and challenges to ensure we guide students in this rapidly changing space.

Unit 3 & 4 Trial Examinations

A reminder that the Unit 3 & 4 Trial Examinations will take place during the second week of the upcoming non-term time. These exams are an important preparation step for students heading into their examinations. Detailed communication regarding arrangements has already been shared with students and families, so please check these carefully and support students in being well prepared.

Students sitting these trial examinations are expected to be completing revision during the first week of the non-term time. Some students may find following their timetable an easy way of structuring their day.

Trial examination results will be available for viewing in PAM from the second week of Term 4.

Vocational Major (VM) Showcase – Tuesday 9 September and Tuesday 16 September

Families were (are) warmly invited to celebrate the achievements of our Year 12 Vocational Major students. The VM Showcase highlights the learning journeys of these students and the practical, hands-on skills they have developed throughout the year. It is a wonderful opportunity to recognise their effort, creativity and growth as they prepare for pathways beyond school.

Science Week – Women in STEM

This year’s Science Week theme will continue to emphasise the importance of women in STEM. Students will explore stories of female scientists, innovators and leaders who have made a difference in their fields. These discussions will remind us all of the need to champion diversity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and to encourage young people – especially girls – to see themselves as future problem-solvers and pioneers.
