Sustainability
As part of our ongoing commitment to the Resource Smart Schools initiative, we have formed a Staff Sustainability Group, which will meet once a term to collaborate on ideas and initiate actions to further improve our school’s sustainability practices. These meetings will provide a dedicated space for staff to assess our current environmental impact, share innovative approaches and plan practical steps to reduce our ecological footprint across all areas of school life.
We hope to foster a culture of sustainability that is embedded in both our operations and our learning environment, encouraging responsible resource use, supporting student-led initiatives, and building connections with the wider community. Through these efforts, we aim to make meaningful, lasting changes that reflect our values and commitment to caring for our common home.
The group brings together staff from a diverse range of areas within the school, each offering valuable insight and expertise. A special thank you to Chris Shelley (Business Manager), Simon Wilksch (Maintenance), Aidan Scott (Science Lab Technician), Jane Watkins (Religious Education), Trish Fiore (School Nurse) and Julie Hepburn (Human Resources) for their interest and participation in this important initiative.
