The Importance of Events That Foster Belonging and Support
Kilbreda has celebrated some important events in recent weeks designed to foster belonging, connection, and support. Events such as International Women’s Day, the Year 12 Retreat, and our upcoming Year 7 camp, play an essential role in building a sense of community and providing individuals with the support they need during pivotal moments in their lives.

The sense of community fostered during such events aligns with the Brigidine values of Hospitality, Justice and Compassion, encouraging individuals to stand together in support of one another, irrespective of gender.
During events that focus on shared experiences, such as Retreats, camps or celebrations like International Women’s Day, individuals are reminded of their intrinsic value and the power of community. They are also empowered to build deeper connections, not just within their immediate circles, but within the broader world. By coming together to celebrate, reflect, and support one another, we create stronger, more resilient communities.
