After 130+ years of protecting our staff and students from the Mentone weather, the slate roof on our College was recently replaced. The existing slate and battens were removed, with a new layer of sarking installed, alongside new battens and Canadian slate in a project that took just over three months. Chimneys were repointed, including tuck pointing, together with render repairs and painting of the chimneys and the parapet walls. The spectacular new roof is now ready to protect the buildings occupants for another generation or two! The project was built and managed by Baxter Projects. (https://baxterprojects.com.au/).
