We congratulate Suzanna Sheed AM (Class of 1970) for being honored with the Member of the Order of Australia in the 2024 Australia Day Honours. This recognition is in acknowledgment of her ‘service to the people and parliament of Victoria and to the community.’ Suzanna, a lawyer, is currently an administrator at the Moira Shire Council. She previously served an independent member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 2014 until 2022, representing the Shepparton electorate where her primary loyalty was to the people of the Goulburn Valley. Throughout her time there, she worked tirelessly on the Shepparton district’s major policy platforms. With the support of her community, she successfully secured over $1.5 billion in investment to enhance rail and road transport infrastructure, as well as improve access to quality health and education facilities. Suzanna continues to embody the spirit of a Kilbreda girl, living out Strength and Kindliness in her daily life.
