Year 7

A Cup of Kindness with Sister Lia

As Term 4 begins, our Year 7 students have returned to Kilbreda full of enthusiasm and confidence, ready to embrace their final term of the year. To mark this special time, we were delighted to host a series of “A Cup of Kindness with Sister Lia” breakfasts, warmly welcoming students, and their families to school. These gatherings provided a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the journey our newest students have taken since joining the Kilbreda community earlier this year.

Sister Lia, together with Mr Smith and Ms Smyth, shared engaging stories about Kilbreda’s rich history and cherished traditions, reminding everyone of the strong sense of belonging and connection that defines our community. Parents gained a deeper appreciation of what it means to be part of the Kilbreda story – a story grounded in faith, learning and the enduring values of Strength and Kindliness.

The breakfasts were also a chance to celebrate the remarkable growth and smooth transition of our Year 7 students. Throughout the year, they have demonstrated resilience, curiosity and a growing sense of independence as they have embraced new friendships, routines and opportunities. Teachers and families alike have been proud to see how confidently the students have settled into secondary school life and contributed to the positive culture of the College.

We are so grateful to the families who joined us and to all who helped make A Cup of Kindness with Sister Lia such a meaningful and memorable event. As we look ahead to the rest of Term 4, we continue to celebrate our Year 7 students and the wonderful beginning they have made to their Kilbreda journey – one that will continue to grow in spirit, learning and community in the years to come.
